A man from North Carolina who was charged with shooting a man out of rage on the road has been found guilty.
LaShawn Hughes was found guilty by a jury of murder, possessing guns while disabled, and tampering with evidence, according to court documents.
A man was reported missing in a parking lot in the 1600 block of Ferguson Court to Sidney dispatchers in August 2023.
The Sidney Police Department says that when they got there, they found 32-year-old Tyler Welsh dead from a gunshot wound.
Hughes was caught after his semi-truck drove away from the scene of the crime.
Police said they think the two men got into a fight because they were angry about something on the road.
Hughes will get his sentence on October 25.
