Legendary rock band cancels tour due to lack of ticket sales – is the crisis approaching?

Helmet, a famous post-hardcore band, has made the hard choice to stop their long-awaited 2024 North American tour.

Helmet became famous in the early to mid-1990s. Loudwire.com called them “post-hardcore icons.” However, the band has had trouble making their latest tour happen, even though they are famous.

Helmet Cancels 2024 North American Tour

According to a statement made to Loud wire, Helmet said that the main reasons for canceling the show were serious money worries and fewer tickets sold than expected. This year, these problems have been a familiar one for many artists.

The band told Loud wire that the cancellation was due to a mix of serious money worries and fewer ticket sales than planned. This is a problem that many artists are having this year. “We can’t wait to hit the road again in 2025.”

Helmet fans can take comfort in the fact that the band has promised to return to the stage next year and play on a tour in 2025, which hopefully will get around the current problems.

One of the plans that had to be canceled was a very popular stop at Love draft’s Brewing in Mechanicsburg on September 26.

North American Tour Canceled

Although the North American leg of the tour has been called off, fans can look forward to the band continuing their European tour as planned.

Message from the Front man

Page Hamilton, the band’s founder and lead singer, told Loud wire, “As much as we’d love to be back on the road playing, this one was not going to work out for us.” We’re excited about our upcoming European tour in November and December; it looks great! We’ll be back in the US in 2025 for more shows.

Helmet began playing in 1989 and kept going until 1998, when they took a break. The band got back together in 2003 and has been playing music since then. Their most recent record, Left, came out in 2023.
