ROCKINGHAM — Thursday, the junior varsity boys’ soccer team at Richmond Senior High School won.
With two goals in the second half, the JV Raiders beat Jack Britt High School 2-0 at home.
In the 45th minute, freshman Martin Lopez scored the first goal by putting back a ball that had been deflected off the goalie.
Kérick Hairston, another rookie, made it 2-0 in the 62nd minute. His shot from inside the six-yard box went around the goalie.
On Monday, the JV Raiders will play Hoke County High School at home. They are 4-4-2 overall and 1-0-1 in the SAC. The game is set to start at 5:15 p.m.
