Still, every state has at least one area like this, and North Carolina is no different—there is one city that stands out.

As a result of the results, 7.52% of people in Concord, which has the highest poverty rate in the state, live below the poverty line.
One of the poorest big cities in North Carolina is Concord, which has more than 105,000 people. Even though the median family income in Concord is $83,480, 7.52 percent of the people who live there are poor, with an average income of $39,148 per person.
