FORECAST A peaceful and dry weekend with sporadic, low-chance showers expected

FORECAST:

  • Our weekend will stay mostly quiet and dry for the rest of it.
  • There is only a shower that is spread out in a few places.
  • Monday and Monday night, we will continue to keep an eye on a low-pressure area off the coast of North Carolina that could become more tropical before moving inland through eastern North Carolina and into Virginia.
  • Monday, it should rain most likely east of Charlotte, east of I-77, and less likely west toward the mountains.
  • Out on the coast and OBX, it could be a wind-driven rainstorm with several inches of rain.
  • Depending on how this storm moves, this heavier rain threat may get closer to us. In any case, we should have at least a few showers on Monday to start the week.

After this, it should be pretty quiet here, and the weather should be normal for most of next week (though it will get cooler at the end).
