Adam Thielen was heard yelling on the sidelines during the devastating Panthers defeat

Yesterday, the Minnesota Vikings beat the San Francisco 49ers in an exciting game. On the other hand, Adam Thielen’s second season with the Carolina Panthers continued to get worse as they lost another embarrassing game.

In Week 1, Thielen and the Panthers lost badly to the New Orleans Saints by 37 points. On Sunday, they were beaten badly by the Los Angeles Chargers 26-3 at home. During Carolina’s loss to the Chargers, the former Vikings receiver could be seen yelling on TV after a play.

2024 season off to disastrous start for Carolina Panthers and former Minnesota Vikings WR Adam Thielen

After a disappointing 2-15 record in 2023, Thielen and the Panthers were hoping things would get better after hiring Dave Canales as their new head coach in January. Canales used to be the offensive coordinator for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Under Canales, Carolina is off to one of the worst starts in the team’s history so far. Even though the Panthers’ new head coach has experience as an offense coach, they have only scored 6.5 points per game this season.

Thielen, on the other hand, started the 2024 season having had his third straight season with at least 1,000 receiving yards. The former Minnesota wide receiver has only been targeted seven times in two games this year, and he has only caught five passes for 59 yards.

The above clip makes it clear that Thielen is angry about how the Panthers’ 2024 season has started, which is fair. They haven’t done anything in their first two games to make people believe they can win even one game this year.

How much longer will Thielen put up with the Panthers’ bad play before he asks the team to trade him to another team? That will be the real question.

If Carolina keeps playing badly over the next few weeks, it wouldn’t be a surprise if the former Vikings wide receiver asked the team to trade him to another team before the trade deadline this season.

He knows that he doesn’t have much time left to play in the NFL since he is 34 years old. Because of this, if his career is almost over, he’ll probably want to try to help a team win a title this year instead of just sitting at the bottom of the league with the Panthers.
