‘A dream come true.’ Southern comfort meal from North Carolina family sold in 400+ East Coast Target shops

THE QUEEN CITY NEWS: Charlotte Every business has a beginning, whether it’s a small mom-and-pop shop or a big-box store. This one began with a dream.

“Right from the start, my son has said, ‘One day we’ll be here and do that.'” And as a dad, you tell him, “Okay, Joe.” “All right,” William Wyatt said.

Wyatt eventually got over his initial doubts and jumped right into his son Joseph’s new business idea. They set up a food truck in the parking lot of a shopping center in 2020.

Joseph Wyatt, co-owner of Ben’s Boys Premium Food, said, “When the lines started getting long and people started making us a regular part of their lives, I thought, ‘Hey, we got something here.'”

They serve what the Wyatts call “premium southern comfort food,” which is what they finally served in their Greensboro restaurant.

“It’s really happened.” There aren’t many times like this. It’s not something that gets passed down. “It’s something that my dad and I got to build together,” William said.
