The California Highway Patrol said a 19-year-old guy from San Jose died in a single-car accident on US-101 early Sunday morning.
Following 3:31 a.m., the accident took place on US-101, just south of San Antonio Street. A Mercedes driver lost control on the highway going south, and the car crashed on the shoulder to the right.

A 19-year-old guy from San Jose was driving, and two other 19-year-olds from San Jose were riding with him. There was no seatbelt on the man in the back seat. He died after being thrown out of the car.
The driver was caught and charged with DUI, which is what the California Highway Patrol says caused the accident. He was only known as “Z. Stacy” by the CHP.
From 3:50 a.m. to 8:11 a.m., one lane of the road was closed.
