2 of 3 Scotland County jail escapees arrested

Authorities say they have caught the prisoner who got away from the Scotland County Detention Center early Monday.

Three prisoners were able to break out of jail, including Phillip Graham, who was being held on sex and attack charges. The Scotland County Sheriff’s Office says Graham was one of the prisoners who did this. He was caught on Wednesday, but the police haven’t said anything about it yet.

The search for 33-year-old Dedrick Lamar Williams is still going on. The 32-year-old James Ronnie Tyler II was caught soon after the escape. He was hiding in a car near the jail. Williams had been in jail for robbery and abuse before he got away.

Because of the escape, Sheriff Ralph Kersey fired two people who worked at the jail: Capt. Kim Foy and a shift sergeant whose name has not been made public. Their firing has not been made public by the sheriff’s office.

The sheriff’s office can be reached at 910-276-3385 if you know anything.
