People who get SSI usually get their monthly payment on the first of the month. Social Security, on the other hand, will not send the SSI benefit on September 1, 2024. It will have to be moved to August 30 instead.
November and October SSI checks will be sent out on January 1. That’s why there won’t be any changes or payments ahead of time. It’s important to remember that this is not the only payment that the Social Security Administration has planned for today.
Social Security payment on November 1, not just SSI
It looks like the Social Security payment for two groups of retirees will need to be sent two days early. In this case, the payday is on the weekend or there is a Federal holiday.
In November, some people who get SSI may get another check on the same day. Check to see if retired and people getting SSDI will be able to get a Social Security check on November 1, 2024:
- Receiving SSI and Social Security retirement or SSDI benefits simultaneously
- Began collecting Social Security before May 1997
- Remain eligible for Social Security on the 3rd
Apart from SSI and Social Security, SNAP benefit payments on Nov. 1
The US Department of Agriculture has stated that people in the 48 contiguous states, the District of Columbia, Alaska, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands will get their November SNAP payments, which will include the 2025 COLA increase.
In other words, if you are qualified, you may also get money on your EBT card in addition to SSI and Social Security. The following states will send SNAP (Food Stamps) on or after November 1, 2024:
