SSDI: Here are the next disability benefits in September

SSDI: Here are the next disability benefits in September

On August 28, the last check from Social Security Disability Insurance for this month will be made. After that, people who get SSDI will have to wait until September 3 to get their money.

Of course, not all people who get SSDI can get the first payment in September. They will have to wait until September 2nd, 3rd, or 4th.

SSDI eligibility on September 3

The next SSDI payments will be sent by the Social Security Administration to people who get disability benefits and meet one of the two standards below:

  • recipients must be receiving Supplemental Security Income (SSI), a payment for low-income recipients, while they get SSDI.
  • beneficiaries must have been receiving Social Security Disability Insurance benefits since before May 1997

Disability claimants who don’t apply for Social Security Disability Insurance on September 3 will need to pay close attention to the date they were born. This is how the Administration sets up the payouts for Wednesday.

SSDI payments on Wednesdays

Because your birthday could be early or late in the month, you might get paid sooner or later. So, if you were born before September 11, your next unemployment check will arrive on that date.

In case you didn’t know, this group of people didn’t get their August payment until three days ago. The second payment round will happen on September 18 if your birthday is between November 11 and October 20.

For people born after September 20, the last payment will be on September 25. As for how much SSDI gets paid on average, it’s $1,538. If you worked through SSA and made a lot of money for at least 35 years, you could get up to $3,822 if you filed as late as possible.

Remember that people who get Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and have very little money can ask for some of it. This is a payment from the federal government that helps retired people and people with disabilities make ends meet.
