In The U.S. People Aged 65 And Up Could Get Straight Payments On The Following Paydays

People in the United States who are 65 years old can get different monthly amounts. They can get things like Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Social Security retirement payments.

People aged 65 will not get paid again until August 30, 2024. So, if you are qualified, you could get a new direct deposit or check in less than 24 hours.

Which payment for 65-year-olds is due on August 30?

It was set for August 30 by the Social Security Administration that the SSI payment would be made in September. So, people who get Supplemental Security Income will get their money on the 30th.

Keep in mind that SSI is a payment for seniors aged 65 or higher, so other Americans over 65 may also be able to get it. Don’t forget that it’s a direct transfer or check for people with low incomes.

SSI is paid for by the Federal Government. People under the age of 65 who are blind or have a disability are also qualified. Anyway, what if you don’t get Supplemental Security Income?

Social Security retirement benefit payment dates for 65-year-olds

Apart from Supplemental Security Income, people 65 and older can get other benefits when they retire. In fact, there will be 4 different payments. People who are retired and at least 65 years old will get their first check or direct deposit on September 3, 2024.

People who started getting Social Security retirement benefits before May 1997 will get this payment. That means they’ve been getting checks every month for more than 27 years. People over 65 might not be able to apply this way.

In fact, they might get the payment on September 3 if they have a low income and start getting Supplemental Security Income on August 30, 2024. The other retirement checks for people 65 years and older will be sent out on:

  • September 11: birthday 1-10
  • September 18: birth date 11-20
  • September 25: born from 21-31

As you know, you can only file for retirement benefits if you have worked for at least 10 years and paid enough in payroll taxes. It’s no longer 65 years old to retire, and soon it will be 67. If you haven’t received the 40 work credits, you might need to apply for SSI instead.
