Food Stamps: SNAP benefit checks worth $202 coming in three days in these States

In states like Alaska, Vermont, Rhode Island, and North Dakota, people who get SNAP benefits are thinking about their Food Stamps payment coming on September 1. Other people have not yet received their August payment.

You might have to wait until August 28, 2024, if you live in both Florida and Texas, to get money on your Electronic Benefits Transfer card. Even though these two states send out Food Stamps early in the month, they get paid a lot.

SNAP benefit checks eligibility in Florida

If you get SNAP in Florida and want to get the August 28 payment, you need to know your case number’s ninth and eighth numbers. Like you might have guessed, it’s read backwards, and the 10th number needs to be taken out.

People in Florida who want to get Food Stamps on August 28 must have a case number that starts with “999” and ends with “96”. This means that they can get benefits on that date. That’s what the USDA said in the monthly plan for all states.

  • If the 8th and 9th digits of your case number are 75-78, Food Stamp benefits will be available on the 22nd.
  • If the 8th and 9th digits are 79-81, benefits will be available on the 23rd.
  • If the 8th and 9th digits are 82-85, benefits will be available on the 24th.
  • If the 8th and 9th digits are 86-88, benefits will be available on the 25th.
  • If the 8th and 9th digits are 89-92, benefits will be available on the 26th.
  • If the 8th and 9th digits are 93-95, benefits will be available on the 27th.

The Maximum Amounts You Can Get for Any Household Size

Food stamps depend on how much the USDA’s Thrifty Food Plan (TFP) costs. Families with no net income get the most money from the welfare program for their size.

For fiscal year 2024, the maximum monthly SNAP allotments are:

  • 1 person: $291
  • 2 people: $535
  • 3 people: $766
  • 4 people: $973
  • 5 people: $1,155
  • 6 people: $1,386
  • 7 people: $1,532
  • 8 people: $1,751
  • Each additional person: +$219

People who have a net income get the most help based on their family size, minus 30% of their net income. In the fiscal year 2024, the average SNAP payment for a person will be $189 per month, or $6.20 per day.

The allotments shown are for the 48 states that are next to each other and Washington, D.C. The allotments for Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands are different and higher.
